Dr. Alan Kuritzky was born and raised in Peekskill, NY. He received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He then received his MD from SUNY at Buffalo. He completed his internal medicine residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY. He then was an national Kidney Foundation sponsored fellow at New York Medical Collage in Valhalla, NY. He returned to Buffalo in 1982 and entered private practice with Nephrology Associates of WNY, where he continues in the practice of General Nephrology.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is a consulting nephrologist at Buffalo General Hospital, Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, DeGraff Memorial Hospital, Kenmore Mercy Hospital and South Buffalo Mercy Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of the Davita Northowns Dialysis Center.

He is a member of the Erie County Medical Society, New York State Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, and the International Society of Nephrology.

He was awarded the 2006 Gift of Life Award from the National Kidney Foundation of Western New York for his commitment and contributions to the kidney patients of the community.
