Dr. Winnie Su is a board-certified nephrologist who received her undergraduate and medical education from top universities and medical schools in Canada.  She obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from University of Toronto followed by Doctor of Medicine Degree from Queen’s University.  She was awarded several honors and scholarships for academic achievement from both universities.  Dr. Su went on to complete an Internal Medicine Residency at University of British Columbia and Nephrology Fellowship at McMaster University.  After graduation, she spent 3 more years as a Clinical Scholar to further develop clinical and research expertise and published scientific papers in major nephrology journals.

After relocating to Buffalo, Dr. Su joined the University of Buffalo as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology.  She was active in the education of medical students, residents and fellows. She served as the Nephrology Fellowship Training Program Director at UB from 2015-2018 and was responsible for overseeing the education of physicians training to become nephrologists.

Dr. Su joined Nephrology Associates of Western New York in 2018.  She devotes her time to treating patients with a wide range of kidney conditions including acute and chronic kidney diseases, dialysis, kidney transplant, familial kidney disorders, glomerular diseases, electrolyte disorders, and hypertension.  Dr. Su has a special interest in the field of home dialysis.

Dr. Su holds several leadership roles.  She is currently a managing partner of Nephrology Associates.  She also serves as a medical director of Davita dialysis centers.  Dr. Su has been recognized as a top doctor by Castle Connolly and Buffalo Spree.
